Fundraising for Nomikos Poniris and a Foundation for Families

I’m fundraising to honor the memory of my son, Nomikos Poniris, and to support other families who experience the loss of a newborn.

Nomikos was born prematurely on November 12, 2024, over a month ahead of his expected delivery date of December 21, 2024. Despite doctors giving him no chance of survival and advising termination, we chose faith and hope. Miraculously, Nomikos lived for 24 precious hours, defying all expectations and inspiring everyone around him with his courage and strength.

This is important to me because no parent should have to face this journey alone. The loss of a child is a heartbreaking experience, and the support available can often feel unclear or out of reach—especially for families like ours living in Poland, where navigating resources can be even more difficult as foreigners.

We are raising $5,000 to achieve the following goals:

1. Provide Nomikos with a proper burial, including a headstone to honor his life and legacy.
2. Build a website as a resource for grieving families in Poland. This site will offer information, guidance, and support to both locals and foreigners who face the unimaginable loss of a newborn.
3. Establish a foundation in Nomikos's name. The foundation will provide resources, counseling, and practical help for families during this difficult time.

We have been blessed to receive a few donations already, but we are just beginning, and there’s so much more to achieve.
